    Just go with stuff you like. Nearly every song can be played in an acoustic version. If you go to http://www.ultimate-guitar.com you will find thousands of tabs and also the chords needed for the song.
    But some easy songs to play are:
    Knocking on Heavens Door – Bob Dylan
    Wonderwall – Oasis
    How to Save a Life – The Fray
    Always Where I Need To Be – The Kooks
    and the theme tune from Scrubs, always a good sing-a-long one.

    Man i love playing the guitar and i tell ya what my first guitar was an acoustic. I had the same problem! I could not find any songs anywhere for anything lol. But i tell ya what if your into alt rock, and maybe some light rock, i got some songs for you buddy.

    Kryptonite – 3 doors down the intro is fun to play in front of friends lol

    One Last Breath- Creed its kinda tough, but with some practice, you’ll build up the skills you would need to play without a pic

    Iris – Goo GOo Dolls it’s a wierd tuning, but an easy song to play, and it will melt girls hearts lol

    those are just a few, but they are pretty easy to play, and they sound great on an acoustic and electic, and they also give you a foot in the door as far as different playing styles go. These songs would be good for a beginner, and as you develope ask another question and i’ll be sure to get back to you with different genre’s of music :] have a nice day

    learn how to read tabs if you havent already because you can learn anything then
