Picker Screenwriter: Alun Owen Film Description: During the first worldwide flush of Beatlemania in 1964, United Artists wanted to ship out a movie with The Beatles before their vogue was over. Working within a tight 0000 budget, director Richard Lester turned out A Hard Day’s Night in a fast 6 1/2 weeks; the picture was in the theatres three months after shooting commenced. Using a variety of techniques cribbed from Hollywood slapstick comedies, the French “new wave” movement, and his own experiences as a TV-commercial director, Lester, with screenwriter Alun Owen, fashioned an exhilarating study of a “typical” 36 hours in the lives of the Fab Four. Onto a plot about getting to the Big Show on time are hung a series of instant-reaction gags, character vignettes, and musical setpieces. Much of the humor arises from Paul McCartney’s efforts to keep his grandfather (Wilfred Brambell), a “clean old man,” from getting into mischief. Also good for several laughs is the hookey-playing Ringo Starr, whose mistimed declaration of

ive been told the next xbox will come out in 2012(if someone could verify this id be grateful) but cause ive only still got a ps2, and the price is reasonable as im sort of bit more than a casual gamer but i buy more on things like bass guitar and things i need, games come second, but id like a new console but is it worth it? im pretty sure it is, with new games like fallout 3 and fable 2 out/coming out. but i just need some other ideas.
cheers, yea, my family have a wii but its not as good as i thought it would be. i know more people with a 360 than a ps3 and its a lot more expensive. im going to get one im pretty sure, once i get the money.

No its not too late, the ps3 just recently came out and you can bet microsoft is working on a new console right now but the 360 still has about 3-5 years left. Thats a long time, alot of great games. In just one year we got so many jaw dropping games…its never too late.

they will most likely be a new xbox console coming around 2011-2013

and a sony console around 2012-2014
    its really your choice.

but you can buy a second hand console or something

  3. Big Drew says:

Ya, it’s very much worth it for the price right now. It will still be a good system for at least a couple of years.

  4. Dawn F says:

meh, I think it is a reasonable time to get one. 2012 is 3 years away (give or take a few months) and why wait that long for a console? There also seem to be an abundance of issues with consoles when they first come out.

nobody can verify the release date as 2012, it is just speculation based on what an average console’s lifespan is. If I were you, I’d definitely upgrade to a 360. Worth every penny. I’m not a hardcore gamer either, but sometimes, when I have nothing to do, I just turn on my 360 and play for a while. With some really good games coming out soon, it seems like a great time to upgrade to a 360, trust me, you’ll be happy.

No its not too late. 2012 is pretty far (if that’s when the next Xbox comes out), so go ahead and enjoy some good xbox 360 games. Or if you’d enjoy a more casual experience you go go with the Wii. Out of the 3, i think xbox 360 gives you more bang for your buck. But i would consider getting a Ps3 ( which can also play fallout 3) just to play LittleBigPlanet.
