I am in a band who need an acoustic song to play. 3 of us play guitar and the other one plays drums hut nothing else. We are all 13 and stuck for ideas can anyone help.
On guitar
An A Chord played at the 2nd fret and one played at the 4th fret or elsewhere on the guitar if any? Are they exactly the same or are there specific time when you’ll need a specific one? Do you just pick whichever you need just from convenience?
Same for the other chords
By 4th Fret I meant
(5 4 2 0 0 0)
E –> high E
To simplify the question, is a chord played in the position everybody knows different to the same chord played in an alternate position
So in that case, how would you know when to play each one?
What about:
(5 4 2 X X X)
E –> high E
This contains only the notes A, C# and E which make up A Major (the 0′s earlier shouldn’t have been there, that was my mistake)
I just finished my first month of guitar…I practice an hour a day with additional lessons…I can play parts of songs, know a bunch of chords (although have some trouble switching from chord to chord) and know a couple scales…I feel I should know more…

I am currently taking my GCSES- English Language, English Literature, Maths, Dual Science, French, Spanish, Music and Drama!
I love singing and performing arts but I will never be good enough to perform professionally!
I don’t really want to become a teacher! I also play violin, piano, have singing lessons and I am teaching myself guitar!

Here’s the deal; I’ve been playing viola for 6 years, and I’m about to do my Grade 5 exam in the summer. However, I also play guitar and piano, which I also get lessons in. I’m about to move up a year, and I’d like to take this opportunity to quit viola, after my exam, to concentrate on guitar and piano.
I hate playing viola, and as my guitar teacher says, ‘all youll get from it is a few string ensembles and orchestras now and again’. I’d like to think I’m pretty good at my other instruments, which I’ll definitely improve on after dropping viola. I’ve been invited to audition for our regional orchestras, which i don’t particularly want to do.
My viola teacher obviously wants me to stick with it, and my guitar teacher doesn’t want me to. My mum thinks I should stick with viola, but my dad isn’t particularly fussy, as he doesn’t want me to do misic as a career. I’m fairly passionate about writing my own songs, which you can’t really do on viola, so I need some advice.
So should I stick with viola, or drop it for my more favoured instuments? And should I pick music as a career?

Hi all, what’s a good instrument that I can learn myself pretty easy. I tried the guitar and finding it too difficult to learn without having any lessons. Any other idea’s? I’d love to play in a band one day. My main influence are the Arctic Monkeys.
Yeah basically my bro bumped into my xbox while i was playing guitar hero world tour, we got it out fast and it only had a thin not so deep semi circle sratch on the disc, the sratch didnt even go all the way round, anyway i went to GAME and they put it under there machine which i guess resurfaces the disc, and it came out looking brand new no scratches on it whatsoever
But when i put it in my xbox360, it attemps to read the disc and then nothing happens it just says “Open disc Tray” it doesnt even say the disc was unreadble, its as if theres nothing in the disc tray.
Theres no scratches on the disc anymore so i dont kno why it doesnt atleast read the disc.
Its not my xbox becuase i checked my other games and they all worked fine any suggestions guys?
