14 year old girl, I sing, play piano, guitar, bass and drums. I love music, from 80′s indie.. (the smiths, the cure, joy division).. to modern hip-hop.. favourite bands being ofwgkta, crystal castles, mgmt, arctic monkeys and so on, I write my own songs, have my own rap duo.. not published but writing lyrics, really creative due to problems which I can write about.. just saying.. All day every day I listen to music excessively, not just like a normal person, music is literally everything to me, everything. I am getting A*’s in every single GCSE I am currently taking, I think I have the potential to go to Ox-bridge and then get a great job with well paid money.. ideally, but sometime I think about just dropping it all and doing something in music.. So, do I follow my passion and love for life, or do I get all my qualifications and then do it? Could you put a detailed answer with an opinion? Thank you

i am feeling quite hyper lately i dont know why i think it’s all the chocolate and cookies i ate but who knows? hhaaha but ok since it’s the holidays….let me ask you 3 questions……

1) What is ONE music related thing you WISH YOU HAD?—–(rare album, famous person’s guitar, famous guy’s clothes, Elvis Presley’s unfinished breakfast, whatever you want!)

2) And what is ONE music thing you wish HAPPENED TO YOU?—–(got pulled on stage at a concert, got hit on the head with a beer bottle your idol threw (i would be honoured if this happened to me! ), released the top selling album in the world ever, etc)

3) And last but not least…..What is ONE thing you would like or expect from the Rock and Pop Section this year?
(by this question i mean, Do you want people to be more respectful, Do you want to discover more music, Do you want people to ask more questions since it can get boring and slow here some days, but remember only one wish for each question!)

Hi, my and my best friend learnt guitar about 4 years ago.
We started a band, just me and her, about 3 years ago and have been making our own songs.
We paid to have a Demo C.D done just over a year ago and sent it to a few record companys including Mark Ronsons.
His comapny got in touch, and within a month we were signed with them.

We are currently making out debut album and releasing our Debut singles in the UK within a month.

So my question is, school?
should we stay, or leave to persue our career, which has thankfully got off to a great start.

And about the tabloids, we really DONT want to be these people who have there private lives splashed in the papers, we want it to be about our music, not love lives and whatever else. any advice on staying quite private while still getting our music out there?
