“Hey, I’m Matt Wright. I’ve made 2 albums so far, ‘Six Scars Later’ and ‘Darker Than Light’, both released on my independent label ‘Not Your Fault Records’.

‘Darker Than Light’ was co-written, recorded and produced with Steve Rushton (formerly Son Of Dork co-front man/bassist; now signed to Hollywood Records) who also peformed guitars and bass on all the songs. The album was engineered by Andy Giblin (who has worked with the likes of Slipknot, I-Def-I and Profane) while Louis Davis from Outrage played on drums.

The first ever gig I played was supporting Son Of Dork at Shepherd’s Bush Empire in front of over 2,000 people.

“Lovely Day” is the title of a popular song from 1977 by the American soul and R&B singer Bill Withers. The song was written by Withers and Skip Scarborough and appears on Withers’ 1978 album “Menagerie”. Released as a single in late 1977, “Lovely Day” peaked at #6 on the Billboard R&B chart and at #30 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US in early 1978. Producer Clarence McDonald also arranged the original 1977 version of the song and played keyboards. Guitars were played by Ray Parker, Jr., Jerry Knight played bass, and Russell Kunkel played drums. Towards the end of the song, Withers holds a note for 18 seconds. Very slow and beautiful song….. I think that it might be called ‘Bappa’ and the artist is called something like Guilla Maule not sure of spelling – but I wrote it on my hand earlier, and it’s washed off now, and they keep playing it on radio 2 (UK) – it was on Wogan this a.m, and Jeremy Vines played it earlier in the week, and they said it’s sung by a blind man in the Mouri (New Zealand) language (I think), and he’s got a great voice, and there is a light acoustic guitar backing.

It’s driving me mad! Does anyone know what he’s called and the correct name of the song PLEASE? I will very much appreciate any info you may have on this…..

That is the way it seems to be for me…

Yet it is ALWAYS a crazy / surreal situation.

Last night’s dream consisted of having a pint with the lead singer of rock group ‘Placebo’, Brian Molko. Anyway we were in ‘The Long Boat’ pub in Penzance, Cornwall – where I first heard ‘Nancy boy’. He had a bass guitar, which he was playing and singing for me, much to my delight – as he plays some slap-bass (not sure he really plays bass), but it was great anyway!

Later he was showing me printed gold-coloured ‘programs’ for each song/albumn that went gold, that was given as a gift from his record lable ‘Virgin’ (not sure who his label really is). But it was all interesting anyway! That was really the end of it….

And the night before I dreampt of the wife of someone I know, but I can’t describe that one here!

Are you all dreaming so much as me??? In such detail? And so often?
